As to the block on the right side, I was told by another carrier that they were made this way because the right side of the Jeep spent more time off the road to the mailbox. My '82 has this block too.

Thanks. Yeah, back in the day the Postal Service would auction off those old Jeeps when they were done wearing them out. A lot of rural carriers would end up buying them. I still have an '82 postal Jeep that I bought from another carrier in addition to my Wrangler.

I haven't experienced death wobble yet. When I first got my Wrangler, it had 31x10.5" tires on it and it would vibrate between 45 and 55 mph. Since going back to stock size tires, it drives fine with no issues.
