i got a 89 yj with 258 i-6 and ax-15 transmission, where can i get a clutch release bearing that is actually worth a crap and will last longer than a week. i've replaced two brand new ones from autozone within the past two weeks. is there an oem brand or what, someone please help..... thankss guys

that woudl suck X2 because i changed it all once when i put the whole kit in and i changed it again in my driveway about a week later because i didnt know what else it could be, i've been driving it and it seems better, i noticed that when i pump the pedal it is easier to get in gear- air...

my 89 yj has done that twice, once it was a faulty ignition coil (15$) and the second time it was doing it randomly and it was the ignition control module (60$). hope this helps.

it has the internal slave cylinder thats built into the throwout bearing. and it will act fine for one day and start getting hard to shift, then i'll let it sit for a few days and it will shift fine again.

bellhousing is fine, went and cranked it up after setting a few days and decided too try and drive it and it drove like its supposed too, for about 15 min then it got too where i wouldnt disengage, no fluid leaks. ugh.

i dont see what else it could possibly be because i've changed everything from the master cylinder to the bleeder valve

My yj has the same problem and i finally figured out that it was my tank, the plastic tank had bowed upwards in the bottom and pushed my pickup tube up and it wasnt letting my float drop all the way down. now im just looking for a new tank that doesnt cost 300+ dollars. hope this helps:-).

hey i got an 89 yj with the 258 and somehow my powersteering pump bracket cracked and is broken all the way through, its not an adjustable bracket its just a solid one. i was wondering if i could maybe use one from a 4.0 or one from a 4.2 thats adjustable or does it have to be exactly the same...

i have an 89 yj 4.2l and the fuel gauge will say that i have half a tank when im empty any idea what might be causing this?
