i got a 89 jeep yj 4.2 5 speed ax15 transmission and my synchro's are dead, would it be possible to take a ax15 transmission from a dakota and put it in my jeep and what all would i have to do to put my transfer case on the dakota transmission??

yeah i've done a little research and i was actually looking for the 4wd actuator not a locker haha and how could i make one and what all would i need

where can i find some pretty cheap front axle lockers i'd prefer the cable kind so i could feel it engage and disengage i was hoping to find some under 200$

i got it to run by blowing some air into the vacuum hole on the pressure regulator and figured out the gauges and its reading around 25 psi (i think its supposed to have between 33-35) it will idle and run but is missing pretty badly.

i attempted too with some old gauges but couldnt remeber how to work them properly, it may not have had any pressure. think it may be the regulator???

haha mines stock and i can pop wheelie's :-) there pretty small but they still count

i hope one day to get another set of wheels and tires to be able to swap back an forth with but right now money is tight especially with gas prices, im sure thats hurting a lot of ppl on here too.. i'm considering going with the grabber at2's does anyone know how well they do in wet weather

my main concern is fairly deep mud and wet road traction because my old yj doesnt have antilock brakes, maybe that will help narrow out a brand. thanks:)

and here in alabama we rarely get snow so thats not really much of an issue

where im at we got plenty of trails and lots of mud so i would need something that does well in mud and light rocky areas but also good for daily driving too. ha till i save up for another car
