Where is the oil dipstick for a 73 J400 360?

Re: Can't figure out how to new thread to find.... Sorry for the crappy pictures but it's the best I could find real quick ;). Between the 3rd and 4th cylinder. It is possible the entire piece (the dipstick and the tube it goes into) was pulled out by someone or fell out. If that's the case...

    Hunting

x2. I usually take my pickup, and it's got a canopy on it with all our gear inside when it's hunting season, and I use/prefer a receiver rack as well. Definitely the easiest way IMO

    Towing a TJ

Well I stand corrected then. I've got several friends with rv's that both flat tow and use a dolly and they both said they've had no problems or increased wear on any parts from not pulling pulling the drive shaft.

Rear axle. Dana 44 Vs Ford 8.8

I would look around in your area and see which is more common to find in the wrecking yards. At least that's what I base my decision off of when I'm in situations like that.

    Line-X???

HAHAHAHAHA ya I would assume he's not recommended by the site! He's our site's version of those annoying pop up ads on some sites that you just can't get to go away.

    Towing a TJ

T-Case in neutral AND transmission in gear for a manual and park if you have an automatic. xt_master...I believe on the TJ, On a dolly If you were to leave the t-Case in gear and the tannsmission in neutral, you'd want to disconnect the drive shaft, or the transmission won't be properly...

Rear axle. Dana 44 Vs Ford 8.8

Sounds like you're doing something wrong then. Gearing or power sounds like it's the problem. 900 hp in my truck seems to have no trouble with them. As for unimog's, I'm assuming they were 404's, and yes there's a few things you must do to them to make them last;) But Jesse. if I were you I'd...

Any difference would probably be unnoticeable. The only way you'd might see a gain big enough to make it worth doing is if the intake was outside of the engine bay, or somewhere where it was truly getting cold air. But then it'd get covered in dirt and crap way too easily. ;)

    New jeep bumper

I would assume the side facing us would be the front. Only a guess since that's where the tow points are.

Hell just put 'mog axle or some 2.5 rockwells in there and call it good.

    8.8 swap oil question?

I just use regular 80 or 90 weight gear oil in my Ranger with an explorer 8.8". Don't need anything fancy. I also put an additive in for the locker, but you obviously don't need that since you're is open.
