    Opinions on this '97 wrangler?

Looks good. Personally, I don't like the hardtop or the full doors, but that is just a personal preference. I'd ditch those wheels asap if you plan on going through any mud....they look like my factory wheels and they will hold mud like you wouldn't believe.....you'll be driving home at 35 mph...

    Alright, who did it?

HAHA!!! Funny stuff!! No.....if it was me, I would have, at least, painted it so you couldn't read the brand name! Being a hillbilly, I appreciate "hillbilly engineering" at it's finest!!!.........................That's why I don't post many pictures!:lol::lol::lol:

tj canyon wheels on my yj

They look sweet!! Same ones I run on my TJ (Black, also!). When I had mine on the wife's YJ, they seemed to eliminate, somewhat, the rub at full lock (31's). Little different back-spacing maybe? Anyway, agree with Bounty, they've always been one of my favorites, too. Guess that's why I bought them.

    Opinions on this '97 wrangler?

Sounds to me like a good deal, especially if you can get him down to $3600. I'm usually skeptical about the first year of a new model, but with 169K on it, I think it's proven it is without "first year bugs". I wouldn't worry about the 4banger. I drive an '03 with 160K on it and would not...

    Turn signals

The first place I would look would be looking for corrosion in the sockets....pretty easy check. I'm not familiar with XJ's, but that would be a good, easy start.

    Hummer Hunting

If you must look at hummers, may I suggest these: Hummer Forums - Enthusiast Forum for Hummer Owners - Powered by vBulletin The Hummer Network Forums :: Index Club HUMMER Offroad - Powered by vBulletin Hummer Forums Or you could just buy a JK........

How much would you give for this?

Pricing art is tough.....mudwoman is an artist so we struggle with this constantly. But this table is definitely art.

How much would you give for this?

Just curious............... #1- it's not for sale. But times being what they are, I am just curious what someone would be willing to pay for something like this. http://www.jeepz.com/forum/general-chat/17169-one-kind.html

    Hey Vancouver

Helluva playoffs all the way around!!! I was rootin' for the Cannots....oops, the Canucks, but after watching the way they play, kinda started siding with the Bruins (hey, original 6, can't go wrong!!!!). The Cannots were done after game 6....if they'd have come to Boston and given decent...

    Whine sound when clutch in

Well, if that should happen, you're not really stuck. You CAN drive a stick shift without the clutch. Starting from a dead stop is the worst....starter does the work. But in an emergency, you can shift up and down using the RPM's without the clutch (been there, done that). You should practice it...

    Trailer or Roof Rack

I have both - a 4x8 trailer and a Top5 roof rack. Have had them both almost as long as I've had the Jeep ('03 2.4L 4banger - bought new). I would be hard pressed to do without either one. I haul our kayaks, wood from Lowe's, luggage (in an auxillary rack I built out of aluminum tubing), and...

    Soft Top Question

Come to think of it (I don't feel like going out and looking in the rain!), I believe mine also has that "tube" which runs through a slot on the tailgate bar. Thanks for the info! I'll be considering that top when the time comes.

    tj hates hot weather

The heat shouldn't matter....you've got other problems. My '03 4banger (yeah, it's the 2.4L) has live 4 years in the heat of Southern Louisiana and live nearly a year in the godawful cold of Upstate NY....and resides now back home in the North Carolina mountains. Have never had any...

    Soft Top Question

So.......does that top have a "sleeve" for the tailgate bar? My top's 8 years old......that one interests me (and I've got the hardware already!).

    Hummer Hunting

The shame of it all is that the new JK's have a real "hummer" look to them.........I always like it when the hummers were "Jeep wannabes", not the other way around.

    Soft Top Question

Did your top include the aforementioned "tailgate bar"? My factory top has a bar that slides through a channel in the rear window and locks into place right above the tailgate. Doesn't hook to the tailgate, but when you shut it, it ain't moving......and it's a fairly watertight fit. I'm thinking...

Manufactured refurbed engine vs. outside party refurbed engine

There's a reason they're called "stealerships". Unless it's a warranty issue, I personally would stay away from the dealership. Find a shop you trust....you'll be better off.
