fuel mileage suxxx on my 95 2.5

Yeah, stock ratio is 410. Might check your O2 sensor. Mudwoman's YJ (94) sat for 4 years when we were in Louisiana. After $2700 in repairs (cooling system, brakes, clutch, and a new cat) we were getting about 12 mpg out of her.:shock: Check engine light on (which it had been for years)...

    Exciting New Venture?

Interesting..............I, myself am going through the same stuff. Am old, was fired, and am looking for new avenues. I'm in the last week of luthier school - building and repairing guitars. Need to get started on the "business" part of it all. I'm very interested it how your venture goes. Keep...

    46 tomorrow

Well.....my 50th birthday was the greatest one I can remember. And life has gotten so much better since I hit the big 5-0. 58 now and going to luthier school to learn some new stuff. LIFE IS GOOD!! Something for you to look forward to, rather than think about how "old" you are. Age is just a...

    New wheels and tires

I actually like the front ones better! Just a personal thing. Before you junk those, you might want to list them for sale on here............help a fellow Jeeper out.........keep it in the family!!

    People in Nebraska are jerks

Yeah, that's not limited to Nebraska..........you'll find jerks everywhere you go. Fortunately, for me, they don't want to put in the effort to climb our driveway.

From my service manual......hope it helps (for an '03) 4.0L (1) Install IAT sensor into intake manifold. Tighten sensor to 28 N·m (20 ft. lbs.) torque. (2) Connect electrical connector to sensor. MAP SENSOR DESCRIPTION 2.4L The Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor is mounted into the rear...

Post death wobble damage and aftermath

All of my wobble issues have been tire related. It's amazing the difference a new set of well balanced tires will make.

    The jeep wave

Problem around here is everybody waves (the locals, anyway).......the little 2-fingers off the wheel kinda thing. If it's a Jeep, I consider it a "Jeep wave".

    collectors item perhaps?

Speaking as a TJ owner (also got a YJ), government regulations had a lot to do with the "butchering". The TJ dash has got to be one of the ugliest things ever created (hey, gotta fit in the air bags!!!). Now the JK, that's a different story (a 2WD Wrangler??!?!?!).

Off roading/ trails/anything near jacksonville NC

Uwharrie N.F. is a pretty cool place - nice trails. It's just south of Greensboro - not real close but not real far, either. Worth a trip to check it out.

    death wobble

Well, that's the FIRST thing to do. Pressure wash your wheels - get ALL the mud out of there. Amazing what a little bit of mud will do.......

    Water pump

And I'm no help, but be glad you don't have the 2.4L (as in my '03). Water pump is run by the timing belt!?!?!? Get's quite a bit more complicated. Oh, for the good old days!!!

    square headlight jeeps

Yeah, we saw that long ago. Mudwoman loves her YJ (as do I) but she always like the round headlights (as do I, but not like it's a "must" thing). We decided that we love her YJ just the way it is. Hey, the "look" grows on you after a while and in the long run, the "look" really doesn't matter...

    YJ 2.5 Oil Leak Help!

OK, first off, I'm not a mechanic. If it were me, I'd pressure wash the whole engine (or some other method....basically get 'er clean and start from there). When oil starts leaking and you drive it around, that stuff'll blow all over, making diagnostics pretty difficult. I had a pressure sending...
