Anyone know of some cheap shocks?

I have to disagree, you can spend very little on shocks, and they will work. But when you spend more you get much better internal components as well as a better ride, I run bilstein 5100s and find the ride is better with 5 inches of lift than stock. The biggest benefit is that they Rae valved...

Today was a special day (Tie Rod ?)

I have the currie, but I bought the complete system, drag-link and tie rod, it is solid and the joints are much beefier than the stock. I am running 35s and although I never damaged the stock unit, I feel much more confident in the currie.

sound coming from front end in 4X4

Does it do it all the time, under load, coasting, turning? It is most likely the u-joint in one or the other axle shaft. You should check because if one does give out it usually does damage to the knuckle as well. Just lift one side at a time in 4h or low so the front is engaged and with the...

clayton lift kits are they good?

Like I said if you just do the lift( least expensive ) you need to do the 5.5" Or think about highline from AEV or a Set of tube fenders and some rear corners ( comp cut ) or just start trimming . You will lose up travel if you go with tires that are too big, but it does keep the CG down a little.

    Rock-It Intake

The 05 and up have an additional sensor, I think it is the intake air temp. The kits that cover all years have the hole drilled And come with a plug. Thats all I know of.

clayton lift kits are they good?

4" is not going to clear 37s with out trimming and bump stops it is made for 35s so with just a lift you would need to go 5.5". Thanks for the welcome, I always read these posts and it's nice to be able to respond on my phone from anywhere.

clayton lift kits are they good?

I think SOA means spring over axle, and only apples to leaf sprung app. I will look into other meanings and get back to you. The differences between long and short arm are many. Short replaces the factory control arms but retains the locations of the mounts, creating steeper angles and...

clayton lift kits are they good?

They are awesome and just about indestructible, I have the short arm and my brother has the long arm. Both ride super smooth on and off road, but his LJ with the long arm is truly amazing. The quality, fit and workmanship is second to none and Clayton and Adam are great guys.
