I am also interested, I am a similar problem with my 05 tj. Sometimes when I am either getting in first or reverse, it acts like the 4wd is in neutral. I have to reach down, jostle the 4WD handle, and then it will work fine... any ideas?

Thank you. I love my daughter with all my heart, but the Jeep is quieter...j/k. Heh, actually she likes riding in my Jeep more than my wife's Impala. I think the bumpiness relaxes her and puts her to sleep. I need to post a pic here soon of her riding around in the Jeep with me.

OK, so I got the jeep a few days ago and my parking spot in the driveway has changed, to the annoyance of my wife, lol. OK, so I don't actually "park" there, but I did do it right before my wife came home to see what she said. She came in the house mad and asked me if I broke it...lol.
