    Rear track bar on YJ

I would remove both the front and rear track bar, they aren't necessary, CJ's don't have them. Geometrically all they do is fight the leaf springs and make your Jeep ride rougher, I removed both of them on my YJ, and everyone I have told about it says they have noticed a softer ride after...

    1997 wrangler

I had a similar situation, mine truned out to be the crank position sensor wires got too close to the exhaust manifold, burned some of the wire loom and then it would get hot, melt the insulation and short out, when it would cool down it would start back up. I just spliced in a new section of...

Secret to removing front hub assembly???

In the past I have used a slide hammer, air chisel, and just plain beat it with a hammer, once I learned this method life became very easy, I tell everyone I can about it. I usually use an extension or socket, whatever has the best fit. Never had a problem getting one out since.

    Good Places for Hi-Lift Jacks..

I would not recommend mounting to the front of the front bumper or back of the back bumper, that is if you wheel your Jeep. I had a buddy that had one mounted to his front bumper when we first met him, told him that was a bad idea, he said it was fine, we laughed our a$$es off watching him try...

87 Jeep Wrangler Shifting Gear Problems

Your transmission should have 90 wgt. gear oil in it, but the problem you are describing sounds like a clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder issue. And since yours is an 87 it pobably has an internal slave, if you are going to have to change that I would recommend changing out the whole clutch.

    92 wrangler doors

My old YJ had both tops and full doors. The soft top had a curved bar around that followed the shape of the door and the back windows wrapped around the bar and velcroed back to itself. I bought a set of half doors for mine and ended up having to buy another soft top to be able to use the half...

Help, my Jeep keeps cutting out and stalling on heavy washboard roads…

I had a similar issue with my 97 tj, 4 cyl. When you would hit a hard bump mine would die, it may start after a minute, a couple of times it would take it several minutes to restart. I finally got lucky and it got worse, my problem turned out to be a loose plug in the harness bank above the...

    WET FEET!!!! I hate this

On the firewall there is a plastic tube about 1.5-2 inches in diameter, it's about 8-10 inches long and hangs down along the firewall, the end of it is kind of crimped together. Remove that tube and clean it out, that will probably solve your problem.

    Help w/Rubicon rocker guards

Are they the rocker guards or side steps? I put a set of side steps on my wife's tj and I needed the nut inserts for the frame but they were very expensive so I just welded the steps on. They work great.

4cyl. throttle body to 6 cyl. throttle body?

6 cyl. throttle body is a good upgrade buy you have to use everything off of your 4 cyl. throttle body on the new one, (idle air control and throttle position sensor).

bolt size for rear track bar?

Personally, I would remove the track bar. Trackbars on a yj are the worst geometrical design ever. Everyone I have ever helped remove their track bars says they are amazed at how much better it rides without them. Just my 2 cents.
