    jeep names :)

"Heep", that is what my dad called by Jeeps over the years till he was gone. It was either "heep" or "yeep", either. Cool. Juggarnaut is one killer looking, classic, 7. Wow, excellent! Robert

Anybody know what this things worth?

I can chip in on this a little; those were offered by Kayline years and years ago for the CJ-5s and it's a good behind the seat storage unit. They were robust enough and cheap enough, they were easily affordable if you needed a covered storage box for your 5. Bestop came out with something...

whats your fav brand of lift kit

For the last ten years, really like the Tuff County 4" lift and revolver shackles and the ultra long shocks. Very impressive and no errors, no matter how rough the country is on VEX, seems to be fine with this arrangement. Robert

    Question and help?

Hi everybody, I sold my Jeep factory hard doors finally on VEX and am wanting to get the dark sand color soft doors for a 1983 CJ-7 (VEX), and want either new or used, and the color that already matches VEX's soft. Preferably used for costs. Any help from anyone wanting to sell, if they have...

USGS Topo maps for the region of interest, in 15 min, and 7.5 minute scale for closeup study. They are very reasonable and indespensable. I have several map tubes in VEX for maps all over the hemisphere and they are gold for travel and exploring. Hope that is helpful, Robert

Yes, its very big. You go through the main run, but all the side linking runs surrounding then makes for a big area to roam. Take the maps with you, for sure. You'll love it. Robert

    Winch

I have mounted front and rear the MM 12,000 lb. and they have worked really well and the first time I've had them front and rear on any of the Jeeps I've had. With VEX, I've had since 1990 and rebuilt from a total, and have shipped it all over the planet and it and the winches have worked out...

Odd response. Doing high end movie FX, NASA Imaging, high end CAD, CAM interface, on a machine that never crashes, never bombs, no blue screen crap, no virii, no hacked crap, no glitches, no failures, is worth every penny if your career depends on it. Oh well. "Independence Day", 1996...

Ok, that 2nd photo of yours, above, with the Jeep on the blocks makes the Jeep look broken. I know there are other photos with these SUV Jeeps in wild, good positions, but I am so retro, throwback, close minded, they are all not Jeeps, but SUVs. But that 2nd photo of yours makes me mistaken...

Backup is a G5 iMac 15" for quick down and dirty Jeep, VEX, work, Archaeology, NASA, correspondence, CAM, imaging references, etc etc, data and output...

SuperJ, Yes, yes it is, my fifth. I've had that one for 20 years now. It is a 1944 model. I wanted the MB style with the round fenders to match VEX. I bought it from Gary Purdy's Army Navy Store, in Whitefish, MT. I paid $500 for it. The only mod I did was to flop the axle under so to give...
