JPS, thats what ive found everywhere ive looked, but what do you think of my numbers(earlier post)? the tag says york on it, do you think it could be rebuilt?? it had a lot of engine gunk on it and looked like it was original. do you know if they used that number configuration for all yorks??

i got a question about compressor ID. i bought a york a couple of months ago and the part & serial number doenst make any sense. the serial is "M 123612" and the part is "AMC 5461585" i was checking out onboardair.com for the ID and the number seem to be different. it is an AMC compressor...

CJ wiring harness sounds like fun, but i heard on the radio today of a similar stunt, only with a snowmobile. dont be discouraged, but the passenger in the sled got stopped by a telephone pole...no he didnt make it. but that was his choice. use caution and have fun.

i have a 76 cj with a slight electrical problem. i think there is a short somehwere. the wiring is somewhat of a mess. does anyone think it is pheasable to chaulk it up and redo the whole thing, or is that a nightmare and try to fix what i got??

thanks for the tips guys, that cardboard trick seems like a good plan, any idea of what size steel to use. and how do i bend the steel? do ya think a a propane torch would do the trick or do i need something hotter?
