    Nail in my tire

I've gotten plenty of nails in my tires and never has the tire shops put a patch inside. That being said, there is a difference between a tire repair kit bought from Harbor freight and a high quality one like maybe an ARB. I believe that you will be better served letting a pro do it. Consider...

    Need help with the engine

You may want to consider everything in your Jeep is not made to take v8 power. Transmission,T case, frame, axles.

Do I try to keep her?

Many here would be more then happy with buying it from you. Even though it has square head lights ! lol ( just kidding for the thin skinned) Does it have any problems now ? If it is running properly, the maintenance is no more then other vehicles really. BTW, I find it funny that one moderator...

What battery charger do you use?

Schumaker for the win, my smaller table model has lasted me for 23,24 years. It has been one of the most trouble free anything I've ever owned. I did something recently I've never done, I E mailed them to tell them how good of a product they make. They never got back to me. *******s ! lol

I'm finally part of the family again!!

Don't be pressured to do anything to it. Learn how it works really and don't do any mods unless the 4 wheeling that you do dictates it. As far as I am concerned, it was never "a Jeep thing" to spend a small fortune on mods, or looks for no apparent reason. Enjoy the Jeep and please go to...

    Newbie looking for advice

Congratulations Juli, nice Jeep ! I love the half doors and the Jeep looks like new in the pic. I hope it gives you years of fond memories that you can never get in a car. I was on Fordyce Creek trail last weekend and the weekend before and we are making new memories all the time. Don't forget...

    Newbie looking for advice

If the price is right, and your confident in it's quality, buy it. No vehicle lasts forever but the memories of wheeling Colorado will. Buy it, enjoy it, don't forget to stay on trails only and 4 wheel it a lot. Crap will break, you fix it and move on. If you really get hooked, maybe move on to...

    Gas cap problem

Make sure the rubber gasket on the cap doesn't have anything on it and it is perfectly clean. Make sure the mating filler neck surface is also clean. If this is good, you may want to put a small amount of grease all the way around the gas cap gasket to see if it seals that way.

    Any Older FJ40 landcruiser owners?

Good for you guys, most think life is about work. Life is about life, has nothing to do with work. One of my first loves was an FJ40, me and my best friend drove one for about two weeks from So. Cal. to Alaska in 1975 when they were bldg. the pipe line and the Alaskan Highway was dirt, about...

    1961 CJ5/ New frame

You might find a new frame isn't as expensive as you think for those. Also they are boxed and much stronger then any stock frame.

Restoring an old CJ - where to start?

Getting it running before doing something with the wiring, even if you only inspect it, may be a good way to burn down the garage ! Always have a fire extinguisher at hand
