I think I found my winch bumper...

It looks to me like there are bolts at the bottom of the push bar this pivots on. I can't believe anyone would have it anyother way.

    winch buying

That's why we buy winches. Even the best drivers with the best equipt. rigs get themselves stuck if their having any kindá fun. Recently I was out with a group of four well seasoned offroaders on narrow wooded trails in light rain. We wheeled most of the day with only minor carnage until it was...

    winch buying

Those are pretty good winches. If it was closer to me I'd be interested. Shipping costs could be high. Not much time left if your going to bid on it.

    rock slider angst

The most protective & durable paint I have used is POR-15. This stuff is incredibly tuff. I use it on my construction trailers as we are pretty hard on them. I've also painted a dunebuggy chassis with it as it's the only thing I've found that would hold up to the abrasion of the sand being...

    Lock rite locker

I've considered this but I already have trouble with my turning radius being extra wide with the 15.5 wide tires I have on it. Being welded will surely make this problem even worse.

    Lock rite locker

I'm certain this question has been posted mulitiple times but I'm just plain lazy & this dial up internet takes just to long to load so here we go again... Is the lock rite locker a reliable unit for a CJ with stock 304 engine & stock axles? I've been told these are the best bang for your buck...

    Ks. Rocks Rec. Park

This places name says it all. It ROCKS!! We had club outting there today with light rain falling all day. Really made the easy trails difficult. Mostly tight trails through woods with steep inclines with lots of rocks. Great place for short wheel base rigs. My CJ lost some paint off both bumpers...

Olds Bravada : Good or Bad?

Is there a Part time conversion kit available for these? I have one on my Quadra-trac CJ-7. She is a pretty happy camper right now as we looked at quite a few SUVs the last day before purchasing this one. Most were pretty trashy looking even with far less miles. Most had fewer options also. She...

Olds Bravada : Good or Bad?

Well guys she got the Bravada. It really is a sweet ride with all the bells & whistles. The power 8 way leather seats are very comfy. She got pretty nervious when I tromped on it to spin the tires while on a gravel road. It hooks up very well. Not much ground clearance for any off roading but...

    Welders

Welding equip. is like any other tool in your shop. If your going to use it alot or can afford the upperend stuff I'd get a Miller or Lincoln Mig. I still have my first welder I bought in '77 in my garage it's a Lincoln AC 225 and still works great. Still available for less than $300 I perfer to...

    POR-15

I've used many of their products with great results. I still sand blast or do what ever I can to prep the surface before painting even though they like to say you can paint over rust.

Olds Bravada : Good or Bad?

I'm pretty sure it's simply full time 4x4 hi range only. I'd be nice if it had a part time conversion done to it (if even available) as she'll rarely ever need the 4x4 but I'll be testing it out. He He!!!! It does have the Vortec engine & I was impressed with performance.

Olds Bravada : Good or Bad?

My girlfriend is in the market for a 4x4 SUV. We test drove a fully loaded 99 Bravada with 145000 highway miles & looks like a brand new car other than some minor paint chips on the front end. It has the Smartrac 4 wheel drive which I've never heard anybody speak of before. I don't think it...

    Help...quick

It's not a big deal going from auto to stick it's all a bolt in mod but I'd recommend you just continue to shop for exactly what your looking for. I believe there were more manual trans CJ Jeeps maufactured than auto so finding one should not present a problem.

How many 4x4's do you own?

I have the two CJ-7s listed in my sig. I have a Honda Pilot, 2 FL350s, 3 FL250s (not 4x4s but great off road toys) 2 EMAXX elec. RC monster 4x4 trucks My girlfriend is trying to buy a 99 Olds Bravada today. I don't think there is such a thing as to much or to many of anything that gives you...

    4wheeling Techniques

Hummer admits defeat: There are so many different senerios that require certain techniques it would be hard to acurately state what one must do to get unstuck. Getting high centered is a common way to get stuck with 4x4s. I've had to use my spare under a drive wheel for a base for traction...

    SUBMERGED JEEP

Like I said sell it at what ever the cost! You don't have to be dishonest about selling a totaled automobile. Give a poor kid a good deal & let him do the work. I've been the poor kid that tried it & I learned it's not worth it but thats' just "my opinion".

Well... im thinking about buying a jeep...

I've owned & known many that have had the inline six hold up well over 200,000 miles with no trouble & get great gas mileage to boot. The previous owner's care in buying any vehical is always critical so look it over for signs of abuse. I'd recommend looking at many before purchasing one. A Jeep...
