    '78 cj5: Won't drive straight.

4" lift, new 33's all around, new steering gear box, all new suspension and bushings, fresh from alignment saying all tight. At 25 to 30 mph I can barely hold it on the road! Has a mind of its own and wanders side to side. First cj and not sure where to go from here. Any thoughts? Thanks in Advance.

    78 cj5 hard to start.

Yes Flatie46, it is a straight 6. Frustration error. I have a time up planned when I get home from vacation next week, including a new coil and wires. SweetPeet, it doesn't die it's when I shut it off. Thanks for the info.

    78 cj5 hard to start.

1978 cj5 258 V6 is almost impossible to start after it reaches normal operating temp and you shut it off. Any ideas? Plenty of fuel getting to carb. Thanks in advance!!

Removing Axle Bearing From Axle Shaft? AMC 20

Removed 2 peice axles all in one piece because the hubs were frozen on. Now I have to remove the bearing to remove the Brake backing plate. What is the best way to approach this? Do I need to cut the bearing off or is there a trick to removing it?

    CJ 5 Brake Size Change

Actually it has an AMC 20 rear end. My thought is only 3/4" difference would not be a big deal. Just not sure.

    CJ 5 Brake Size Change

Just traded for 1978 CJ 5. It came with 10 3/4" shoes and 11" drums?!?! My question is, can I install 11" brake shoes on the existing backing plate that held the 10 3/4" shoes?
