    4.0 or 4.2 rocker arms?

Does anybody know if one is supposed to use 4.2 or 4.0 rocker arms for the 4.0 head swap? My dog ran off with one of the 4.2 rocker arms and I think buried it, lol. Thanks a lot guys, have a good one.

Welcome bud, good to have you. I'm sorry I can't help you with the pics, but if you head on down to the local auto parts store, they should sell Hayne's or Chilton's manuals. One of those will have a vacuum diagram for you Jeep. Good luck, have a good one.

Head Bolts for 4.0 head swap

The guys says he's got two kinds, some that look to be normal and some that "have extra threads on top for mounting something." Wasn't there some valve cover that mounted up using these studs and is that what he is talking about? Which bolts would I need . . . or is it half and half? I'm also...

    Reverse Grinding

Yeah, that's what I thought as well. i'm with Sparky on this one. Check the clutch linkage and clutch fluid levels, and finally the effectiveness of that cylinder. I'm not too savy on hydraulic clutches, but that's my best guess. Good call Sparky.

    Jeep YJ seat bracket???

I suppose I never really thought of that. The pucks would work better for mildly tall people I suppose.

    Jeep YJ seat bracket???

I hear you bud, I'm 6'6" and have the same problem. I never thought about fixing it until just recently I head some guys talking about using hockey pucks to raise their seats up a little bit. That seemed to work alright for them. Just drill holes in them and maybe hack them square so they don't...

    Exhaust

Banks, Borla, and Pacesetter, all sell complete exhaust kits (I think) which include everything form the head back. That's a good place to start, however they tend to be pretty expensive. All of these components can be bought piecemeal for cheaper as well, check eBay. If you want a good...

    Paint

Any kind of painting would require you to prep the surface first. This means cleaning every bit of dirt and grease off, that thing has to be immaculate. Then you sand it pretty vigorously, it has got to be scuffed up pretty good and there can be no lose chips of paint or anything. Then you clean...

    Chevy HEI problem in CJ-7

They do, and it's wrapped around the distributor, inside of the cap. If you go to the autoparts store and ask for parts for a 1980 Blazer or something, they can give you new parts for it.

    Chevy HEI problem in CJ-7

I think this happened to another guy on this forum. I remember us all thinking long and hard about it. If I remember correctly, he ended up finding a small crack in his distributor which opened up when the engine heated up. How this caused complete ignition failure I'm a little unsure of, but I...

    Putting it together

Alright guys, again, I'm sorry about so many questions, but this is a huge undertaking for me. This will hopefully be the last thread on this topic. Per Bounty_Hunter's suggestion I went with a clifford cam and cam kit. I talked to Larry from clifford on the telephone and he told me that the...

    Alright, exhaust questions now

Do you think that the headers, 2.25" pipe, and a Borla muffler (no cat) will provide enough backpressure to retain my low end torque?

    Alright, exhaust questions now

I'm sorry guys, I know I've been asking a lot of questions lately, but I need the help. This is all relatively new territory for me. My question now is about exhaust cutouts. I have the opportunity to get an electric cutout for my diameter exhaust pipe for next to nothing and I was wondering if...
