If you want to swap in a bigger engine, might as well swap in a Chevy 350. Everything you need for swapping can be bought from Trans-adapt and other similar companies. For you first Jeep, I would stick with a 4.0.

Need to ask your dealer that one. My guess would be that a modification like that would probably void your warranty. After all, bigger tires can cause premature wear and tear on the drive train.

Mine starting doing the same thing while traveling from Wichita, Ks to Oklahoma City, Ok. From the noise it makes, you would think the whole exhaust was coming loose. Haven't fixed it yet. Probably get a new high flow c/c with a cat-back system. Any recommendations on the cat-back system...

Go down to your local parts house and have em lay them out side by side so you can see any differences. Take your old one with you (obviously).

FYI, There are Mopar wholesalers that you can deal directly with without having to deal with ebay. I have bought a couple of parts from this one place and both times the prices were way less than retail. I bought a heater control panel assembly for $230.00 and the dealer wanted $350.00.

Look for something in the debris that doesn't look like a tooth and look around to make sure something didn't break off from another part of the transmission. Could be that one of the teeth just failed and ate the others up on the way out.
