So my buddy has a 95 grand Cherokee. The other day he went to lock his door but noticed the latch wasn't hooking. You can flip the manual lock switch. But you push the button on the outer door handle and it will flip to the unlock position... Any body know what's wrong or how to fix it?

The cut out on the pass side was for a electrical hook up for the military m38a1. It was for jumping an aircraft engine for start-up on a 24 vt circuit.
