    Window Tinting...

steering box ? I have seen on ebay that people sell the tint pre-cut for xj's. Have never heard comments from people who have bought, so do at own risk, but this could make the process easier and possibly cheaper.

Replacing 89 Cherokee 4 door "swing" seats

york air compressor Wow, now I feel like an idiot. The lever on the side of my cherokee was off and I didn't know that it actually tilted back. I finally looked at the passenger side today (I never am my own passenger) and it had one. What an a**. Oh well.

    1988 Laredo

use brake cleaner or carb cleaner. Coolant needs burping because air pockets can get in there. Have read to point car downhill and let the car run it out, while replacing with coolant when if it gets low. I just replaced my heater valve and lost about 1/2 gallon and just filled it up via...

Replacing 89 Cherokee 4 door "swing" seats

Has anyone ever replaced the cherokee's swing bucket seats with ones from a different jeep that actually have a back that articulates? The ones in my car just swing and I have seen them in the 2 doors that have backs that actually move independently. Also what is required to do this? Do I...

    Door locks

Try WD40. All you have to do is remove the trim panel and there will be a little actuator that has a black rubber cover. It is located on the most rear part. Mine had your same problem and just shoot some WD40 on the metal piece that goes in there and I also pried up the boot and shot some...

    Fluid, Amounts and changing intervals

Thanks, I own one. All it says is to fill up with specified lubricant. For transfer case I am sure it is ATF, but would like to know if there is a preferred type and also the quantity to put in. Thanks, Kellen

    1988 Laredo

Yeah, my 89 has it, just need the remote. AFAIK they are factory. Just checked ebay today and there is one that should work on your 88. It is from a 90 and is only a single button (only unlocks doors). Supposedly the remotes are rare so if you want one original, then this would be a good...

    spiralmax worth the money

I think I have seen the infomercial you are talking about. The one I saw was about this fan insert that goes in the air tube supply and "creates" more airflow to the engine. Read a writeup of it somewhere where the results were actually tested and it was minimal. Your call.

    1988 Laredo

Can't answer the blowby problem, but the lens on the top above the mirror is for the factory remote unlock. The remotes are expensive (dealer wants 170 when I called a week ago) and I have not been able to find one on ebay. There is a website that charges $76.50 for it (and programmed I...

    Airflow questions

The drop in air filter is like 50 and the whole kit (called the FIPK) is like 250, give or take. No idea about performance, but the FIPK (the new intake cone) would in my opinion be better because the Jeeps air box is so closed off. There are also some other posts similar to yours if you...
