Can't get there. Jeep dies. Unless I'm mistaken, (very possible) I should be able to run just fine with a dead battery, just wouldn't be able to start... I can't make it anywhere, it's like the alternator just isn't working at all, and I'm trying to run my jeep off of a dead battery.

Hey! Thanks for peaking. I just replaced my alternator because when tested, my system was pushing out one amp or so less than I need to run with headlights... This lead to me being all out of battery, and stranded with a stalled Jeep in the rain. Thus I was unhappy. I put the new alternator...

Like the thread title implies, my 1973 CJ5 with a 3.8 feels like a moped running on dog farts. To start- Two bbl Weber carb. (Pretty sure. Previous owner.) Aftermarket intake (Dunno Make or model.) Hedman headers (Just put them on last month.) all leads to 2.5" pipe to a really nice muffler...

I don't know what to look for on the leaves, however, the shocks are some older **** Cepeks. What would a short add a leaf look like? Hmm... Lemme try and get a picture. Then you'll see it clear as day.

Okay! Now the bolts that hold the leaf pack to the frame (no shackle) seems like it's frozen solid on all but the front passengers... Because I managed to free that one. I need to get an impact wrench to free the others. However, it didn't really seem to help that one side, so I'm thinking...

I've got a '73 CJ5. I cannot get the suspension to move more than a couple of inches from rest. There's a complete fiberglass body kit on it, but it would seem that whoever put that on (previous owners) did many of the modifications to the Jeep, all of which were done well. My question is-...
