Thanks a lot we fixed it and I really thank it was the fork pads like u said but I don't have to take it to the shop now. They could not get to it for 3 weeks and around $500.00 now I can buy my new top Thanks again

Cool maybe the chain was not the problem Oh well it has a rebuilt t-case with a new chain now I'll get it all back together in an hour or so hope the clicking stops thanks for the info.

Worn out would that make a clicking sound?

Yeah I'm really rough on mine to but the new one isn't any tighter than the old one and this is my first time in one not really sure what I'm doing I'll just put it back together with new stuff and hope for the best I guess thanks. Is there not a tensioner or anything

Is there any factory spec. On the chain tension in the t-case I can't find anything on it. just not sure how to find info. On t-case. I really need to get this thing going soon. Thanks for the help

Ok the chain may be little loose but I don't see anything it can slap on

I just got a new gas cap mine never popped a code but failed Texas inspection so they do go bad. it's 03 TJ

See if it smells sweet when running or pull your spark plugs and blow air in w cap off look for bubbles start at back ones

You can some times look at tail pipe and tell what's going on Good luck

I hope it just goes away but I don't think it's going to I'm trying to find a t case rebuild kit now I think some how the chain has got slack in it and is slapping something. Can't tell for sure and my g-friend won't drive it while I lay on my creeper to listen where it's coming from. Yes...

I have replaced all u joints and ATF is full in T case I do have 5 speed tran oh clicking stops if I put in 4 high I really have no clue what this could be Thanks for any and all help

Update-- replaced u joint but clicking is still there thinking it maybe the t-case chain,checked fluid in tcase it's fine, killed engine-still clicked. But doesn't click in 4whl drive. I need help with this one

I have a clicking noise when I'm driving slow or fast and a shake looking under the jeep. There is a u- joint on the end of my axle near the hub that is bad can I just replace the u- joint or do I need to replace the whole assembly. Thanks for the help
