    This may be a silly question but this is how my JKS worked. the U bracket went on top of the Sway bar and the bolt went through the Swaybar Eyelet fisrt then up through the U-Bracket. This puts the pressure on the Bracket and not the bolt. Maybe THAT is why it is so High. Like So Seams...

    Unlimited Jeep Actually NOT so bad Get it dirty quick or it will start falling apart I tell that to a guy at work that never gets his CJ5 Dirty and has had to replace the Trans like 4 times. No mud to hold everything together.

    the Only strain you should get on the Sway bar is up and down againt the threads of the Pin.

    Frame Protection

    POR-15 says that you need to paint over the Rust cover product so prepare to paint the POR-15 afterwards. Since you have it completely apart, why not POR-15 it then use a Flat textured paint over that then have it Line-Xed.
