No effect. Except that After market shocks ride better than Stock. I noticed a MUCH better ride when I replaced the Shocks with BDS Long Travel. Not as much roll on the road but flex up the wazzu. The stock wouldn't flex much when there was no lift on there and when you pull that piston...

The Safari are your best bet. It keeps you stock mirrors on the doors and slides right into the Remaining hinge on the Tub.

Most Aftermarket only require removing the Flare extention.

you need nothing but the Springs and Shocks. You will prolly get Bump-stop extentions but that should be all.
