Right. I mean a Weber that was installed out of the box - no jet changes or modifications. At 13 BTC I get the strongest vacuum and run without the first "ping". As I get closer to 15 it starts pinging on hard accelerations. Scott

You may want to consider the TFI upgrade and the Nutter bypass on your 258. It's cheap and gives you more power through gains in RPM and a hotter spark. Scott

Your valve cover has 3 holes in it - First is your Oil fill. Next is your PCV valve. All the way in the back is the Crankcase Vent. I replaced mine with a breather element - no hose.

A "hotter" spark can begin the combustion sooner by advancing the timing, and then burning throughout the piston stroke giving you more power. Because your spark is hotter you can burn sooner and LONGER. No additional wear on the engine - it should actually run better - cleaner. Gas mileage...
