    budget lifts. worth it?

I have 2 inches, and have 31's under them, and there's no problem for me. I don't do anything really crazy, but I haven't had a problem. Eventually you'll probably want something larger to fit bigger tires, but to start with if you want to get a little clearance without a ton of cash...

    The OFFICIAL Random thread

Yeah so it's NOT snowing here. I actually wish it would. I mean the rain is good and all for mud, but snow is fun. I think that we already got our allotted 3 inches for the next 3 years down here in the Willamette valley. STOOPID SEA LEVEL! I guess the continual mud does kind of make up for...

    Transmission issue

My 00XJ jumps back and forth like that, but generally only when I'm climing a pretty good size hill out on the freeway. I normally just hit the throttle a little and keep it out of O-Drive until I hit the top. I think that mine is just trying to keep up speed while climbing. It just hits the...

That is true. not a very safe place I guess. I couldn't find a picture of me holding a handful of respect, so it'll just have to be a mental picture...a big dripping handful of respect...Just kidding TC. Congrats on that.

    Jeep Cherokee Alloys

I have a set of 31's on a 2000 XJ with the 2" spacers and they only rub when I hit something very hard off the side, of if I lean it over on a hill very far. The plan though is to put a real lift on so that I don't have to worry about them rubbing at all. I think it probably depends on how...

    throttle body spacers

I put a TBS from Rusty's (see the pic below...) on my 2000 XJ. I also put the intake kit from them as well thatcomes with the K&N filter on. I think that I MAY have gotten an extra 2 mpg out of it. What I did notice though, is that the gas pedal is quite a bit touchier now. It has a little...

Things not to do to a Jeep

I don't have a picture of it, (I'll try to sneak up on him...) but there is a wrangler that lives somewhere around my house that is absolutely slammed down to the pavement. He actually has to slow down and creep sideways over speed bumps and driveways. Big ol' fat rims, and thin racing tires...

    Egr Valve Help!!

I "believe" that the EGR valve will actually get build up in it, causing it to stick. They generally aren't too expensive to grab one down the street at the local shop. I think that you can actually clean them out as well (not 100% sure on that one). I used to have a little ford ranger that...

4.0 Oil Pressure / Check Gauges

I actually had the same thing happen to mine a little while back ('00 XJ). Mine did turn out to be the sender. It worries me when something like that happens, so I try to jump on it ASAP. That way I don't get stuck out somewhere with a part that you wouldn't carry normally. scares me.

Hey all. I was just wondering which version of the 4 wheel drive the 95 YJ has on it. I'm sure someone out there knows...:)

    lost steering and alternator

So I know this is kind of a simple question, but here it goes anyway. I don't know too much about this part of the jeep yet. Emphasis on yet. So this morning it was pouring down rain. I get out and warm the jeep (2000xj 4.0) up. Everything seems fine. Check engine light comes on again (bad...

    What was it?!?!?!?

Just remember, "The truth is out there". I figure they came for some doughnuts, but the line was to long so they decided that they would keep on truckin' till they hit Andromeda, and stop and get a burger there.

    4.0 question

I would say that you should probably get 200K easily. With good care I don't know why you couldn't hit 250K even 300K. May not be the greatest shape by then, but they are pretty good engines. From what I hear, the thing that will keep them going the longest is the oil. Keep changing it...

Assuming that they actually did do the maintanence timely, and everything. Are you talking about without rebuilding or anything?
