all fuses and relays are good. gonna do a little more checking and may wind up just wireing in an external voltage regulator. not the way I wanted to fix the issue but i cant keep waiting around for shipping times.

nope, not charging. I have the same voltage at the battery, alternator, and the gauge on the dash.

I finally got the pcm today, replaced it and still have the same problem. I read battery voltage all the way from the battery through the alternator and to the gauge. Am I missing something?

I'd like to get new padding for the cage...the original was just too far gone to clean so it wound up getting cut off. I've looked at a few places and dont understand why they all seem to skip 1991. They go to 1990, you have the obvious change in 92, and then in fine print is says "no kit...

Its going to need to be replaced. they seem to go for about $200 new, maybe less at a junkyard or on ebay.

sorry, its a 91, plug and play...pulled the pcm out and took it apart, appears to be part of the mother board...Really? did chrysler think that they would never go bad?

Voltage regulator, which chrysler was kind enough to put in the pcm...and as I have found out it is part of the mother board so it is not a replaceable part. You have to change the pcm

Now that I have the jeep running and have driven it a little, I have found it feels like I have to reach down to the floor for the shifter. I have looked but havent found anyone selling a longer shifter...Is there one availible or maybe some kind of extension?

Yeah...thats how i got the thing. The guy that had it appearently sunk it pretty good. It came to me on a flatbed with an explanation "I went through a bog and the thing just quit on me..." I drained 3 quarts of oil and about 4 gallons of water out of the pan and was unable to get the thing...

I'm new to the board and I recently aquired a 91 wrangler with a blown 2.5. The drive train is stock so I assume it has the ax5 transmission. I would like to put a 4.0 in to replace the 2.5 and was hopeing someone could tell me if the transmission would match up and what else would be needed...
