    Super Swampers site?

1068020 If your looking for a tire that is fairly quite with really tough side walls they would work pretty well. Other than that Bounty Hunter is right, they really dont do very well off road. They dont flex very well for rocks and gum up really quick in the mud. [addsig]

1068054 If I strap the trans to the frame how will it allow the engine to move? Wont that put an extreme amount of stress on the bell housing?[addsig]

Who's got the best homemade jeep stuff?

1068117 TommyJeep, How did you set up your tire carrier. I have already built both my front and rear bumpers but not sure exactly how I want to mount the tire carrier. My rear bumper is fabbed out of 1/4' 2x4 structural tubing sealed to also serve as an air tank for my ARB's If you have any...

Can Not figure out this @%#$@ Vibration!

1068119 you might also check into manual locking hubs. Warren has a sweet set up with "hub fuses" They are pretty slick, they create a weak link that is easily replaced if broken on the trail. You can select different size fuses to match you running gear. They are designed to break before you...

    off-set rims?

1068199 2 inches is awfully wide, you could probably get away with it, but is is going to be hell on your wheel bearings. If its a matter of $ the spacers would work, but if at all possible spend the $ and get the wheels. [addsig]

    TJ Brake Light Question

1068200 Thats kinda wierd, cause the lighting for the third lamp comes right off of the wires for your passenger side tale light. Have you checked the groud wire? Take the cover off of the driver side tail light and see if it may have come loose. Beyond that you got me.[addsig]

    Jeep CJ7 Clutch "Question"

1068202 Did you check out your pressure plate? If it gets warped it will cause it to shake especially when in first because you have to ease off the clutch.[addsig]

    first jeep

1068203 Be carefull of putting a demon carb on a jeep if you intend on anything other that flat land. I have a friend who has a YJ with a 350 chev and loved the demon on the street but wanted to send it back to hell as soon as he started up a steep hill or got off camber. [addsig]

    Round tail lights

1069062 I did the LED conversion a couple of weeks ago. I have to say that I love it, the only problem is that the turn signals flash like they're on speed now. I was told that the blinker switch works like a waste gate and now that the lights use less amperage the waste gate fills and opens...

1069197 Chances are that it will be located in the tank. I have an old chiltons guide from when I had my YJ, I will check it out and let you know.[addsig]
