Thanks for the ideas. I can't use the door hinge because I plan on using half doors when the full doors are off. The Rocodile's look promising.

I like this machine. This is the kind of set up and look I'm after.

While checking on tires, the salesman told me of a guy with 4 polished aluminum wheels. I'll check them out and a bunch of other stuff he's got stashed in his garage. It looks like I'll be doing my part to keep the economy going.

Yeah, mud, I can see where they might do that on the backside. Thanks for the input. OK here's another scenario. I'm selling my 89 YJ with the stock 15 x 7 aluminum rims. I could put my TJ tires on those rims and swap 'em, since the YJ tires are even lamer. The aluminum wheels are kind of...

Never mind, I found some answers in the product review forum. They don't sound like the best answer to the problem, but might be the only one.

What is the difference between a Jeep Wrangler and a Jeep CJ7?

I've owned a 1980 CJ 7, an 89 YJ and now a 98 TJ. They all were fun and each certainly a different machine. Basically the newer, the more refined: Interior, exterior, engine and ride. They all did the job and am glad I had the experience of each one. I'm no kid, so the "refined" TJ is just...

This looks like a nice rig. We're the same age and our Jeeps are close also. I'm on my third one and want to go a little beyond stock on this one. I've got too many hobbies and too little cash to get too carried away.

Thanks for your honest input. From what I've found in my forum research, you guys know your stuff and I respect and appreciate your opinions. This is my third Jeep, and I want go give it some added "personality". Much of the fun of the Jeep experience is the exchange of ideas, and adventures...

I just got a 98 TJ, 6 cyl pretty much all stock. I'm thinking of putting a set of 30 X 10.5 AT tires on the stock steel 15X7 rims. I plan on blasting the rims and painting them either black or to match the "red". What I'm looking for is some chrome or stainless trim rings that will work on...

The local car wash uses a poster of your machine to indicate what is not allowed to be washed there.
