starter problems i had to shorten my clutch rod?urha shaft? like an inch or two in my 79 cj5

when i got my 79 cj it had a push button for the stater , hooked it back up the way it was factory and when i hit the key its but the srater stay running any help? oh its a 258.

dont foget payments and insurance ! is that cj eating any thing??? how much to replace or rebiuld your engine?? its up to you no car payment for me!

Att: redrooster i have a complete 4.0 out or in a 94 xj does any body know if the fuel inj.will work on my 79 258? iknow i have to use the 4.0 head, can i use my GM hei dist ? or do ihave to use the 94 dist. any help

RE: More advice for a noob the xj was hit hard in front ! so no front end parts ,hood fender grill all junk! the motor,tran, tranfercase, axles, and every thing is in good shape .its in Indiana
