    Is the Jeep wave dying?

Here in Indiana, you get either get a wave or not depending on the "class" of the Jeeper. The "built", modded, or "old school CJ" guys wave at each other, but as your rig gets newer, then you apparently are less obligated to wave. I was sitting a a stoplight a while back, when a mom and her...

    engine swap

Anything small block chevy is gonna be fine. There are 2 trains of thought IMO. Older Chevy with points and condensors (sp?) is good. No computer, no major wiring issues, keepin' it simple. Thought #2 is newer, fuel injected, gives you better gas milage (if that's a worry), and no worries of...

    "Dangerous" electrical issue

Sounds like a ground thing to me. When weird stuff happens, and especially in different places at once, it's normally a ground. Start at your battery, then you engine block, then the firewall, grill, tub, and so on cleaning the grounds as you go. If you find an especially loose or corroded...

Finishing what I started (55 Willys truck)

P.S. In the run of all this, I went to Earl's in Indianapolis for the flex lines. I bought 2 30" lines and 2 23" lines. They are ANN lines rated at 4000 psi burst and 2000 psi running pressure. Got the 4 lines and fittings to adapt over for $75. Lines were made right there on the spot, took...

Pictures!! Okay, everything installed for the Brake booster and Hydraulic clutch. I now have brakes, better than it has had in 55 years. Gone away is the old stock setup with the pedals through the floor. I'll I've got left for this part is to get the hydraulic clutch system bled out. Tried it...

whats the best carburetor to use for off-road use?

I've always wanted to work a propane conversion into a carb. From what I've heard, the carb. end of the set-up is only a couple of bills. + tank, lines, and such. Propane has NO stall on inclines. It might be worth looking into.

    Winches????

I've ran a couple of Ramsey's and have been happy with them. I've loaded them up pretty hard, many times, and they keep going. I don't have much personal experiance with other brands though. Warn seems to be the standard for being "the shizzel".

Finishing what I started (55 Willys truck)

Ok...the Holley carb rebuild went well. I couldn't believe how simple it was. So now she starts right up without the use of a cup-o-gas, and revs. up right. I didn't thrash on it though. I want to get the exhaust done (only shorty headers now) so I can hear the motor itself. I want to make...
