    Is the Jeep wave dying?

I did not mis-read that. Is was a very informative story about where the "wave" came from. It started out as a "brotherhood" type thing. Like you said "I've got your back". Now it's almost required if your a "Real Jeeper". It went from starting as an "out-cast" thing to a...

    1981 cj7 brake issues

Look on-line for "Speed-Bleeders". They're are $4 or so a piece (x4). You just crack them open, pump your pedal, and a one-way valve keeps the air from coming back in. Re-tighten, and all is good. It's worth it if you wheel it much. OR, pay some neighbor kid $1 to pump it for ya. Don't...

    1981 cj7 brake issues

Sounds like air in the lines to me. Have you cracked open any of the brake system lines lately? I would try to bleed them out. It can't hurt to bleed them anyway. Fresh/clean fluid won't hurt anything.

    Oil pressure sender

Well, sounds like IT"S THE WRONG PART!! Actually, I had to change mine recently and was warned the Autozone would give me the wrong part. It's something wacky in thier computer system. I lucked out though and got the right one. I wish I had my old reciept so I could give you the right part...

Getting mynew bumper! What do I do to it?

I am pretty sure that Rhino and Line-X have life time warrantys. That might be a good option if you plan on beating it up much. I've heard of whole Jeeps getting coated, and Rhino holding up their end of the warranty. I would think it would cost even less if you took it to them before it was...

    Big stalling problem

Ok....this is my go to answer for problems like this. Check your grounds, ALL OF THEM. On the firewall, the block, the frame, the battery, the fenders, grill, ALL OF THEM. Intermittent (sp?) problems like that are normally grounds. Computers and today's modern sensors need a good clean ground...

    Automotive rookie mistakes

Biggest bone-head thing I ever did was when I had been working on my car in high school. I had it in the garage, finished up with what I was working on, dropped the hood down, jumped in, FORGOT TO CLOSE THE CAR DOOR, and back out of the garage. I folded the door almost straight forward...

    Lift install dificulty level

I do agree, but ther's nothing like saying that you did it yourself, AND saved $400. I say, as long as it's not your daily driver, and you can have it sit for lets say TWO weekends (worst case senario), that's $100 bucks a day you paid yourself, AND you learn a little somethin' somethin'. I...

    Suspension Special? lift kit

Man, I have NO experiance with this brand, BUT if they are (as Terry figures) $300 cheaper than anyone else, then I would wonder either 1) then quality of they stuff or 2) the kit itself does it contain ALL the parts to do the lift right. This means springs, shocks, sway bar drops/ brake line...

Jeep won't start- In need of help

$1,250,352 would be my MINIUM price until I myself knew it was locked-up. If you husband can turn it over with a wrench, I would give it a second thought. Look into other things. Mechanics are NOTORIOUS for telling you the worse case senerio, when in case fact is not. If you are confident it...

    New Front Seats

Ditto on that (I'm 6'3"). I put a ammo box in as a center console, and it gave me something to lean on. Helps out alot. Also saw a guy chop and add about 6" to the Jeep right under where your knees would be, but seat would probably be cheaper!

A Very Proud Day For Me!!!

My nephew has Asperger's, and he too is a good kid overall. When I drug the Willy's home, he was riding his bike by and came over to check it out. I asked all kinds of questions, and it surprised me how mechanical minded he was. He would ask a question about what something does, and after I'd...
