    This BUCKIN' Jeep!!

Do you have water leaking in the cab anywhere? I used to have the same problem with a Saturn ION I drive and the problem stemmed from a leaking sunroof. I fixed the leaky sunroof and haven't had any problems with my dash since.

    Carpet

It depends on what your application is. If you just use your jeep as a daily driver I'd say replace the carpet. If you use it as a daily driver and a toy rip it out and line the floor. I have the floor rhino lined and the only problem I ever have is heat from the Florida sun baking it all day...

    Gas mileage in the CJ's

Thanks Steel, I will look into it. Is the "air-gap" intake that much better, or is it just a cooling factor? I know the performance is better the cooler the fuel, but I am not convinced in the cramped engine compartment it will make that much of a difference. If you get it please post as to the...

    Gas mileage in the CJ's

Currently with an engine that I feel is out of tune (timing and carb need to be set) I am getting almost 15 on the highway at 50-55mph. I have a AMC 360 with a stock 4 speed, I am geared at 4.10's front and rear with 33X12.5X15's. Hope this helps. P.S. Steel where did you get the manifold for...

How bad did I screw up my YJ?

Did you verify the t-case was in neutral? With the t-case in neutral I leave the transmission in neutral also. It sounds like the transfer case was not in neutral.

    frankenstein jeep project update

Not sure if you want to do this, but you can add a battery disconnect for overnight storage. I have one of those in my jeep because of aftermarket gauges(volt gauge draws constant power), and I haven't had any issues with it.

    92 Jeep Cherokee

I tend to agree with bounty hunter, one of my friends has a cherokee sport, 4.0 automatic. Overheated it one time and had the smallest warp in the head, took a while for enough water to make it to the oil to know for sure. But after he replaced the water pump and before the blown head...

    Fuel issues

Good morning all, I have bypassed the fuel line to the electric pump, which has fixed the seepage issue. I drove the jeep around town last evening on any roads I could get to and maintain highway speeds. Nothing happened, I want to believe this fixed the issue but am not going to hold my...

    new guy needs help

3.73's will make it easier for the truck to move. It will put less of a strain on the motor to get the car moving and keep it moving. edit: therefore, if the problem is one of the above mentioned problems, then no 3.73 gears wont really help it.

    Death Wobble or Wheels unbalanced?

I agree with Murdadock. I have heard that the steering stabilizer could be the cause for most wobbles.

Clicking in the cab when gas pedal is pushed

Wheel bearings? I had a strange knock once in a Mustang that sounded like it was coming from the clutch, but ended up coming from the passenger wheel bearing. What kind of click is it? Does it sound like click or pop from a circuit board or something else?

How the heck to remove both shift levers?

I looked online and it may look like there are some shims at the bottom of the lever. That's the best I could find so if it doesn't help I apologize.

    Fuel issues

OK, Hopefully I am getting somewhere.:D Gentlemen take a look at the pic of the electric auxillary fuel pump, (not used, and will be removed tomorrow after a trip to get new fuel line). It is leaking/seeping. I have not driven the Jeep since Sat. The spot on the garage floor was approximately 2"...

    Fuel issues

Steelheadz, Thank you. I will be looking at it this afternoon after work. Will post later on the results. Could this also be a "vapor lock" issue. I have not followed the exact fuel line path yet (this afternoon). The PO also has an electric fuel pump on the framerail passenger side, (very bad...

    Fuel issues

Good morning all, Sorry to say but the ignition wire near the exhaust manifold did not cure the stalling problem. This weekend my wife and I were out heading to the woods and it did it again. After receiving my manual I did find what appears to be the "vapor line" which appears is supposed to go...

    amc 360 questions??????????

Where do you want to hook up the water temp. gauge? I'm assuming it's at the block and if so if you look where the water return tube coming off the top of the radiator connects to the block you should see a brass nut that screws into a flange on the block. I just replaced the stock water temp...

    Headers w/ AMC 360

Thanks for all of the information. I am going to do some more research on the headers and will re-evaluate my needs along with cost (main factor right now), as I have maybe 2000 miles left on current tires, does anyone know where I can get 33" boggers for less than 250 each?

    Headers w/ AMC 360

steelheadz, I have osted the pic I was referring too on my profile pics (I think). Sorry computer skills are not my strong suit. Anybody can take a look and advise if "in frame" headers will fit with the slave cylinder for the hydraulic clutch in the way.
