    winch...? do ya think?

i say rattle can the fairlead. if you pay to get it powdercoated, the first time you use the winch its going to start to chip, and powdercoat continues to chip all over, not like paint. if you rattle can it flat black or something, you can just touch it up as need be whenever you want.

fair enough, that does not however, make belittling someone's for sale ad any less of a negative.

and all i was saying that taking shots at his pricing in his for sale thread just seems unfair. just because he doesn't have the 2000+ posts that other people have, doesn't mean he shouldn't have a fair chance at selling his rig. at least this guy wasn't like one of the recent spammers that this...

he shouldnt have to talk to anyone for a certain period of time to be entitled to sell something. i'm sure if someone came in here, and their only post was for something that you really wanted, you wouldnt have a problem with it then. its one thing for people on here to argue about political...

requesting pics is one thing, thats a reasonable request, telling a guy good luck with sarcasm or telling him to get out of here are totally different.

    Bearing questions

i've replaced too many hub assemblies in my day. my method usually consists of: - general prep (break lugs, jack up, put on stands, remove wheel) - next thing i do is remove the cotter pin and crown piece and washer. have someone step on the brakes for you and remove the axle nut (a decent...

    Locals in the Olympics?

tom brady is part of the new england dynasty. hopefully he is here to stay. and i think you are being a bit unfair to mr drury, a winner doesnt have to score rediculous goals like rick nash or ovechkin, he brings something else to the table. every teammate he's ever had has said that there's...

    everlasting junkyard paint

judge, you can get them on ebay for about $40-60 (plus shipping), not the best solution, but like you said, better than paying $300 for a new one.

    Locals in the Olympics?

now now mingez, its no fair to claim something as yours if it isn't. chris drury is a new england boy. he lead his hometown of trumbull, ct to the little league world series title way back, then proceeded to win a national title in men's hockey at Boston University, and then went on to help the...

    Hockey fans?

amatuers all the way. i love the NHL playoffs cause thats when hockey becomes pure, but during the reg season, i'm more of a college hockey guy. unmatched passion and a pep band, can't beat it. nothing better than a group of 18-25 year olds going at it on the international stage.

    suggestion forum?

more sections to sort through is not always a good thing. while its nice to have everything in its place, we don't want anything becoming too cluttered. just check out nagca.com. thats where i get a ton of info, and surf the for sale pages, but there are way too many sections.

    Dana 35...

i'm not speaking from experience, never owned a rig with a d35, but i'd say lock at your own risk. again, terrain you drive in, and the way in which you drive make a lot of difference. one of our local jeepers locked his 35 and never ran into a problem, but again, that doesn't make it a good idea.

i can almost garantee that a junkyard swap would be cheaper than taking it to a shop. all depends on how much work you're willing to put in yourself.

    Dana 35...

just because you had it, and never had a problem with it doesn't make it reliable. but, like you said, "don't beat on it." driving style will have a LOT to do with any axle holding up. i wouldn't run anything bigger than 33's on a 35, and even then, i'd be extremely careful. what do you really...
