Not since he checked in at his destination. We've heard that the unit is doing fine, and that's pretty much all my husband will be able to hear. Good enough. Better than nothing at all.

I did similar after I got the Jeep. I left my wallet with the one key I have in my husband's truck, and he was about two hours away before I figured it out. Had to have one of my employees pick me up for work.

Thanks, everyone. We heard from him when he reached his destination, and thank God for modern technology. While we might not always be able to Skype or talk on the phone, it's a whole lot more than those who served our country had in years long gone.

To see him with his family you'd never know he is as badass as he is. He's not the guy who needs to talk about his experience. He's humble and present in every moment. Just a great guy.

I like the adrenaline rush. I don't like bridges and can only tolerate elevators unless they're crowded, but I'll jump out of an airplane with no hesitation. Weird.
