the stupid door latch that holds the door shut against the cab is broken, either the linkage that pulls it open is broken or the latch is just broken.... since u got the door panal off i would dig around that latch and try to find the lever the releases it. if u can pull around or even pry on...

cool do youhave anything holding the spring to the spring perch then? i know the front dana 30 has a small clamp that holds the spring in place. is ur d44 factory for the jeep? or is it built custom for ur rig?
