Got my Jeep and completed my first project

Did you buy a kit to do that? Looks like three 2x4's and 4 cargo straps. Can you still back the jeep under it? I'd like to do something similar, but I need to be able to keep the jeep in the garage.

New locker switches & RCA jacks

Just finished my latest project. I uploaded this picture from my Itouch....it cut off the RCA jacks. Here's some more. There were two holes in my dash on either side of the cigarette lighter and they were perfect for the RCA jacks. I used the Daystar vent panel switches because they mounted...

    Is the Jeep wave dying?

I would say the majority of the JK drivers don't wave back, but I still wave. I also wave at any obviously modded Jeep vehicle and usually they wave back.

    Popping noise in the steering

Check your knuckles....make sure the nuts are tight. That's how I first noticed when mine was messed up.

My first death wobble - tips on how to fix it?

I had a bad case of the DW and I was pretty sure it was a result of the accident I had a few years ago. When the losers at the DC stealership rebuilt the front end, they didn't tighten the lower castle nut on my steering knuckle. I just got my new front end axles/gears done and while it was on...

    Wrangler Round Tail lights???

Check out a truck stop store. They'll have all kinds of different LED lights.

    Your 2 cents

Personally, I love that flat fender look. Especially when you add the old round CJ turn signal lights on the front of the TJ grill. If anyone is interested, there's a company called T&T Customs that has a complete fender replacement kit. They have different widths too. They also have rear...

Evap leak code on '03 TJ, 4.0, auto

I'll be crawling under mine this weekend to see if that's the same problem it has. Side note: I just got back from being deployed for a year and needed to get the Jeep smogged. Knowing that I have this problem I took steps to keep the "check engine" light off so it would pass. The day...

Who here has served, or currently serving?

WOC is the way to go if you want to get a lot of training. I don't have that much time left until I can retire and I'm not sure I want to start training all over again. Besides, I've been gone for most of my 5 years of marriage already....much more and the wife will probably stop putting up...

    Axle upgrades - FINALLY!!!

So I just ordered my new parts for my axles upgrades today. I have an '01 TJ with stock D-44r/D30f and 4.10 gear ratio. I'm currently running 33" BFG A/T's right now, but plan on moving up to the 35" M/T's soon. I'm also planning to do the Rubicon this summer so I was able to talk the wife...

    horable body work

That reminds me of a Bronco II that I saw wheeling once.....the body/fenders were trimmed so much to clear his 31" tires that he screwed up on one side and had to back fill with some plywood. I wish I had a camera!

Trying to fab speakers for inside wind jammer

Put the stock speakers on the inside. I think once I heard of a guy that took a TJ speaker bar and put it on the front bars.

Evap leak code on '03 TJ, 4.0, auto

I have the same prob on my 01 TJ. I have to smog it soon so I'll let you know if I find an easy fix.

    Fog light malfunction

Is this relay in the switch handle or the steering column? I'm sure I'll probably end up taking the whole thing apart, but it would be nice to know where to start looking.

    Fog light malfunction

Ok.....It's been a long time since I've posted anything here, but that's because I've been deployed for a year. Anyway, I'm back now, and I just dug the Jeep out of the garage today and the fog lights are giving me troubles. I have a 2001 Wrangler with the stock fog lights and it seems there...

    New and full of questions

WOW! It's been a while since we had any good drama on the Z! I seriously can't stand someone that writes like they talk. If my children grow up talking/writing like morons I will consider my job as a parent failed. What food chain is he at the top of......fast food? I'm betting that...

    TJ "tire" questions...........

You will have enough space to run the 33"s on the street, but not much room to flex. However, you will definetly want to re-gear.

    Barefoot Running?

I've read a lot of reviews on the VFF's and I think I'm going to get some in a few weeks. My plan is to start off slow by just walking around in the VFF's and then transition into running with them and eventually with out.
