Rock Krawler 5.5 in. Triple Threat Long Arm

Thanks.....I was going to look for a new/smaller cat, but I didn't want to get screwed if it wasn't smog legal. Although, now that I think about it, I'm not sure how a catalytic converter of any kind wouldn't be smog legal. Usually people are trying to get rid of those when it comes to...

Rock Krawler 5.5 in. Triple Threat Long Arm

Well, I was finally able to scrounge up the $$$ to buy the long arm upgrade kit. I went with the 5.5" LA upgrade from Rock Krawler. It was a tough decision between RK and Clayton, but in the end, I thought the overall clearance of the RK skid plate design was better. The LCA mounting points...

    Catalytic Converter Question

I'm installing a long arm kit and have run into some trouble trying to get the skid plate and cat to fit. I've laid under the Jeep for most of the day and I think the best/easiest option is to just cut the pipe before the cat and move it forward a few inches. My concern is this: Will the cat...

    lift kit suggestion

Totally depends on what kind of Jeep you have and what kind of driving/wheeling you want to do. If you're looking to just put some 33"s on it and look good in town then I would suggest a 2"-3" suspension lift. Of course if you go with bigger tires you're going to want a taller lift and some...

    tube fenders price

Metal Cloak starts around $600 and are pretty unique looking. Plus, you can go with larger tires and not as much lift when you're ready.

    Tail light swap gone wrong!

check out Stu's Off-Road page. He's got all kinds of write ups on everything electrical and whatever else you can think of. I followed his write up word for word when I did my swap and it worked perfectly the first time.

D60 for TJ, where do I start?

I don't know how much you want to spend, but I'd personally save for a Dyntrac kit. That way you can get exactly what you want, it's clean and you don't have to worry about some bullshit that someone else may have done to it in the past. If I had the money I'd go with aftermarket front/rear...

    Gotta Problem!!!

Don't worry too much......Tighten all the loose stuff and get your control arm bracket welded. I've already busted mine off 2x.....If you have a lift on it I would consider going with long arms or getting shorter springs. It's breaking because the angle from the axle to frame is too severe.

    TJ transfer case shifter linkage

I don't have any pictures, but if you've got it torn apart now, I'd get the linkage upgrade kit to disconnect it from the tub. It shifts so much firmer and doesn't bind up at all now. I got mine from Advance Adapters I think.

Rock Krawler 5.5 in. Triple Threat Long Arm

Looks like the one I'd rather go with is the triangulated 4-link. Plus, the front is a 3-link or 4-link depending on what you plan to do with it. I haven't found any bad reviews yet......though, it's going to be a while before I get mine put on since I don't have the $$$.

Rock Krawler 5.5 in. Triple Threat Long Arm

Long time no post......I broke my Jeep this weekend and figured now's a good time to upgrade the suspension a little. I'm currently running a 4" Skyjacker (double flex/short arm). It was nice at first, but I've seen the error of my ways and decided that a long arm kit is the only way to go...

    So what happened?

    lower control arm

Definitely agree you shouldn't drive it. I limped mine back to camp about 1/8 mile with both uppers on the rear broke. Everyone I passed was quick to point out the severe axle wrap. I couldn't imagine doing it on the road. Those arms keep the axles under the Jeep.

    Transfer Case Shift Linkage Upgrade

Thanks. I read a long thread about the pros/cons of these two and also the Skyjacker kit. Novak and AA were the highest recommended. I went with the AA for the cost and the ease of install.

Front or back? Try jacking under the axle to move it around.

    Transfer Case Shift Linkage Upgrade

Last year on the Rubicon I broke the linkage off the tub and had to crawl under the Jeep to shift it. So I just bought the Advance Adapters bracket to correct the shitty DC design. Have any of you done this yet? What's your opinion? Stand aloneJeep TJ transfer case shifter bracket | Advance...

Going for 35 tire need help

4:88 gears at least. 4" susp + 1" body lift. Don't get the short arm kit either.....go for the long arm. With that high of a lift, you'll be kicking yourself in the ass a few years from now if you get the cheaper short arm.....I know I am! I've driven a friends TJ with long arm and it's...

    Used lift kit

It retails brand new for almost $2000, but I'm not selling my shocks or steering stabilizer so I'm asking $750.

    Used lift kit

Just out of curiosity, would anyone here be interested in a used Skyjacker 4", double flex, short arm lift kit for a TJ? I'm not ready to sell it yet, but it won't be long. I've decided to upgrade to a RE long arm system. The Skyjacker kit is awesome, but not enough for the trails I'm doing now.

    On board air help !!

My a/c hasn't blown cold air in 3 years and I haven't missed it. Can the stock TJ a/c compressor be converted to run OBA? I've read all about the Yorks and know they're pretty popular, but they're also expensive and I don't want to have to buy something that I don't need.
