    Trail Ettiquette

Really, even if you can't help someone out by pullin them out, just the fact that there's someone else there does wonders for the psyche. Being stuck up on a mountain all alone is a bad experience. It helps people stay calm and together if they know there's someone around. No panicking or...

    Re-cy-cling?

I'm in Oregon. It's against our religion to not recycle I think.

    The OFFICIAL Random thread

One time I was driving along through Wyoming, and we actually were talking about that exact thing. Where do the shoes come from. Then we looked out and there was a shoe...with an ankle hanging out of it. Evidently there was a wreck...it was absolutely disgusting. My brother gagged right...

    French-Irish War...

Man, this is a tight rope people are walking...Keep your balance! Don't fall, lest on one side we hurt people, or the other side where it's no fun to make fun of people. (Personally I like a little making fun of people. Keeps people on their toes...) p.s. I really don't mean anything...

directional signals on 2003 grand cherokee

Maybe get out the old volt meter, and check that you are getting a full amount of juice through your circuit. Sometimes everything looks fine, but you have a little corrosion or something in the wires up under the dash, before it gets to the flasher on your fuse box. If everything is ok there...

    Trail Ettiquette

Yeah. The extinguisher is a big one for me. I never used to have one until about 1 year ago. We were up in the mountains running down this old logging trail. Pretty nasty. Slow going. The trees/ground/bushes were absolutely bone dry. Would have gone up in an instant. The guy ahead of me...

    New Exhaust

You're talking about just the Rusty's exhaust with a normal cat, or the exhaust with the hi-flo cat that they sell?

    Channel 24

What's the difference between antennas? Is there any real quality difference between the ones that magnet to your roof, or the ones that hook under your hood? What about the length as well. Do you need one of those really long whips or just a little stubby thing...

    Replace or rebuild?

Thanks a lot. That will pretty much answer his question. I'll pass it on.

    What's this thing weigh?

Excellent. For some reason I thought it weighed around 6500 lbs. That would be one heavy XJ.

    What's this thing weigh?

So without having Mr. Jeep out in the parking lot (at work...)does anyone know how much a 2000 XJ Sport w/I6 weigh? I was thinking around 3500 lbs, but I really have no good idea right now. We were trying to compare weights on the jeep and a 1990 beefy ford van.

Is 23-channel CB radio still viable?

Should still be good. No reason not to use it. So I know it used to be, but now...the channels above 20 used to be "reserved" for people committing nefarious deeds. Does this count?

    Replace or rebuild?

So a buddy I work with has a 95 wrangler. It has the 4 cyl. Has 210,000 miles on it, and is not working anymore. Blown head gasket, possibly warped. We are assuming that it's better to replace the entire engine, but wanted to see what people thought. And if replacing, how hard would it be...

    My Jeep is dorky....

I got a set of Pro Comp 31's from 4WD Parts while they had thier nice little buy 3 get one free. Get em on sale. They always are somewhere. I have the XJ on 31's with 2 inches, and there hasn't been a problem yet. I have no money (ever...), but there are always sales going on between all of...

    New Exhaust

So then changing then size of the pipes and the size of the bends, opens everything up. What happens if you just put on a cat back system. If your headers and everything up front including the cat is stock, you have that new 20% in the back, but will that allow the front end to "breathe" as...

Ripplebrook would be up towards Bagby hotsprings. Heading up the mountain out of Estacada. It's the little ranger station up there. Tons of great areas up there. I'll try to get some pics next time. It would be up 224 out of Estacada. About 15 miles or wsomething like that.
