    Cj7 hard top & full doors for trade I have a 78 CJ7 w/304 and the steering is horrible, very sloppy. I have never messed w/steering components on a jeep before and wanted to know what parts I would need to replace to tighten up the steering. Thanks

    Yes you are correct. I can start the jeep with it in first gear and not touching the clutch pedal and it doesn't move.

    RE: Re: RE: Beans or no beans in Chilli? Thanks for the welcome. It is mechanical. The manual told me to set the free play for the pedal to an inch to an inch and a half. Just not sure what I missed as there doesn't seem to be a whole lot going on in the mechanical clutches.
