RLBJeep I see what your saying, if the systems were reversed & the proble occured more often with a 1/2 tank or LESS of fuel I would be almost sure it was a fuel pick up problem. As I was pulling more hair out today I was thinking accelerator pump too, but tommorow I will take your advice look...

    Clifford Performance

I have been tossing around the idea of swapping my 4.2 YJ over to a V-8 302 or 350 with an auto transmission. I think I am to the point that I have a very good idea how much $$$ the project would cost. Now I am not throwing in the towel on my V-8 conversion, but I figured I might want to look...

    yj fuel problem

Yes I am starting to think it may be a bad fuel pump, but this is my latest dilema. Friday night with about 1/2 tank of fuel I added a can of dry gas (at this point I am just trying anything) I also blew air in the fuel line froim the fuel pump to the gas tank, thinking something could be...

87 YJ did a weber conversion about 2 years back. Alot better than the crappy factory set up but the weber is tempermental when it comes to tuning. This past weekend I did a rebuild on the weber carb. The jeep started sputtering a little in lower gears and figured a rebuild might be a good place...
