Thanks for the info!! That was the first thing I did once I got off to the side of the road I took the shifter boot off and all looked fine....well other than the shifter being locked in 4th gear......so as the story of my life goes it seems I need to replace the clutch....never an easy fix for me

Thanks for the info Eric........Ya I was thinking syncros too!!! maybe I bent something when I forced it into gear, or a piece of the syncro got jammed someplace in the transmission

YUP!!!! thats her.......problem is i just replaced the alternator, but when not under throttle the amp gauge still drops down around 8. Jeep starts easily in the monings dont think it has anything to do with the battery
