RE: Ideas for trailering a CJ7--sealed bearing in T-case? sometimes my 258 misses...sometimes it doesn;t...the timing is good... lastnight on the way home after droppin the engine for my motorcycle off...i noticed that it only misses when the headlights are on...this is not logical at...

i just got off the phone with them....gave the m the part numbers of the cam and springs i used...apparently my lifters are goin to be ok but the retainers for the springs are incorrect...so i had to order some new retainers... i'm not sure how that is hindering my oil though...

think i will...thanks guys...

they are new lifters...the cam didn;t come with any...

RE: I my cam... question...i have the springs the cam card suggests...but i am using stock lifters... i just got home from phoenix and started messin with it again...remember the oiling issue... would the stock lifters be able to handle the valve springs...could the valve springs be to...

it handles really well...i think it is a bit underpowered for what it is...but in all...nice car...a real head turner...

yeah i am questioning it...all the parts are new...the tappets push rods and rockers... the bore may be excessive thoguh...thet is somethin i had not thought about... i have a hard time thinkin a clogged galley cause it does get oil...just takes awhile...correct me if i am wrong but it should...

should be...it hasn;t started knockin yet...i talked to one guy who says it is normal for a 6 cyl to do it...but i'm not a really goot car mechanic i'm sure you guys figured out already...so this is new to me...think maybe the oil pump just isnt puttin out the flow but has the pressure to make...

noone knows?

you can't be in a hurry i thought about renting a vehicle...i just wanna see what my schedule is like first before i do...i dunno if i'm gonna have to work both halves or be limited to one or what...y aknow what i mean...

RE: Re: A/C - Overheating woes... it's an 87...i pulled the valve cover off and it takes about 15 minutes at idle to get oil to the 1 and 2 cylinder rockers...

it seems that my rockers are not getting oil after start up...the rear ones are but the ones for cylinders one and two seem to take awhile...they also sound like they are chattering running down the road or sitting still...they were all torqued down with the valves closed...and to 18 pounds...
