    I just got the jeep. 33" mud terains. and I think its a pro-comp 4" lift. I put pro comp MX6 shocks on and they are working out Ok.

    It has edelbrock shocks (non adjustable). I think this is the problem and thats what I am changing on Friday.

    This ride is way too soft. It floats, rolls, bounces, hops, and rotates on the springs with little resistance from the shocks. The main problem is that it is unpredictable, I have to tighten it up somehow. I'm open to suggestions but I think I have to start with stiffer shocks. I dont know...

    Dont know if this helps with a 72. On an 82 you use a puller that has 2 bolts that thread into the center of the hub.Gonna help sully with his this week.

    Thanks, but there is always stuff to change and do on these things ,even if it was new. This was the best TJ I could find. I looked at 10 or so,was looking for a "sport" ,I can see scraping up those Sahara painted fender right away. My other 4WD has a 4.2 8 cyl (S6) and thats my old screen name.
