Change it anyway :) Seriously, I had that same problem one time and also ran that "test" , but I did end up replacing the coil and my problem was cured. It wasn't on a Jeep but that's irrelevant. I don't have any other ideas of what to look for, sorry.

MC 2100 issues HaHaHa. I resemble that remark. I'm glad I didn't have to be towed to the shop to find out it was just out of gas. Towing isn't cheap. Not to mention the toll on one's pride. Maybe I should have kept this one to myself :oops:

I'll look into buying/borrowing a vacuum gauge then. Thanks. On a side note, Advance Auto Parts said they don't carry the hose I need for the PCV system. I guess I'll just get a length of hose the diameter I need and cut it to fit.

I checked for suction at the pcv valve and there is lots of suction going on there. I also have checked all the pcv lines for blockage and cleared what little there was. They didn't look very bad at all, at least to me. I am now going to the parts store to see if they have the hose that goes...

They make those trailers in several different sizes. I'm sorry I'm not up to speed on the numbers of them, but I have seen some pretty big ones at auctions. Pretty much every military auction will have at least 10 of this style trailer up for bid. They are always on that website mentioned above...

Why replace the AMC six with a GM 350 just because it has a Carter carb?
