    Greatest Sports Moment

I read Lance Armstrong's book "It's not about the Bike" and for anybody to just plain live thought cancer that was spread through out his body and brain is a miracle in it self. Now, throw in 6 Tour wins (you have to understand bike racing to comprehend how difficult it is to win once or even be...

    personal recs. on tires

RE: heater I would slow up and watch the used (parts) tire ads under clubs near you. Somebody's always selling used 31s to up grade. Figure $150. (or less) for 4 tires in good condition. I waited about 9 months and finally came across used 32" Swampers for my Willys, $50.00 for 4 (didn't need...

Daystar/Prothane 1" urethane bushing lift question

RE: rear end They do tell you to reuse that mushroom looking bushing/sleeve however, mine were pretty rusted and rotted so I just left them out. I answered another post here about installing them on old YJs about 2 weeks ago. http://www.jeepz.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=325650

    Freeze plug removal

Hi Derek, I heard of guys going through the wheel well. Try removing your wheel and get the flap out of the way and see if you can reach it with a long screw driver. The way I operate, I'd even cut out a piece of the inner fender to reach it or remove the inner fender. Anything to save removing...

    Tire grooving

RE: hard-top wiring That is an excellent idea. I don't know how many stop signs I've slid through on my BFG M/Ts in the rain. I was looking at this one but never got around to buying it. I was looking for somebody to go haves on http://www.randys-racemart.com/tirgroovir.html Same iron I guess.

    Tax man cometh...lift qustions

I would go with the BDS. They're highly regarded everywhere and have an unbeatable guarantee. I had a 2" BDS before installing my 4" Skyjacker. The Skyjacker was slightly softer but the BDS will give more for your hard earned money. Consider your wheel combination. You may not be happy with...

    SNOW!

Re: RE: the eagles are going to jacksonville We skied all day Saturday and Saturday night. Closed the mountain at 9:30PM. Slept in our Ski Patrol shack at the top of the mountain Saturday night during the storm ("blizzard"), then at 7:00 AM, the 5 of us ski down first tracks in 25+ inches of...

    removing rear track bar help

RE: Re: RE: Jeep Hurricane WOW! 2 Hemi There was a recall for leaking gaskets of the sending units in YJs. Call the dealer first with your VIN. Of course, when I brought mine in it was a loose hose at the connection so I had to pay  . You only need to drop it low enough to get a mirror...

    bds or rough country?

RE: Re: I The BDS 3-1/2" (YJ) will net you 4" to 4-1/2" and the rides not bad (way better than stock). A lot of people have used Bob Supplee in Moore OK. I think it's called Supplee Enterprises, however, Bob's a real nice guy and a wheeler. His prices usually are the cheapest around. Sorry, I...

    Anyone Mountain Bike Too?

Just a little during the off (road) season for a little fitness during the week (ski weekends). I raced (road) for 25 years and still love grinding out road miles. Cannondale was our sponsor for several years and they gave me one about 10 years ago, with the Head Shock. I still have it and use...

    CLutch sliiping??

Sounds like a classic worn out disk or one that's been in use so long it's becoming glazed. How many miles on the clutch? 90% of the time you can have the plate turn down unless it's full of cracks. This is were I bought my clutch kit if you're doing it yourself...

    scary suspension. help!!

RE: Re: RE: Gettin Sounds like you torqued up the shackles and spring eyes. You should be using selflocking nuts and just bring the nuts up a little sung. I know Chilton's says 90 ft/lbs but that crazy. Be sure to use nyloks or self locking nuts. These are supplied with the Heavy Duty "H"...

Scuba Diving Tank For On Board Air?!

Paragon Feb 19th Your best bet would be CO2. I think you get about 12 fills (33 X 12.50") as opposed to air with maybe 3 fills, I think it was, out of each tank. CO2 cost to fill the tank is about $15 to $20 each.
