    D44 swap

I believe the axles are out of a Ford Bronco, I'll have to ask my boss to be sure. Anyway, this project is going to sit on the back burner for a little while until I finish my Vortec V6 swap. Plus, I removed the diff cover and the gears are pretty smashed. I wish I could do all of this as...

    D44 swap

My boss is giving me a Dana 44 front and rear axle to swap out my D35 and D30. I don't even know where to start on this project as most of my knowledge is in the engine department. I am assuming I probably need to lift my 1988 YJ as I am still using the stock suspension. How much lift will...

    Fuel pumps

This is a Chevy 4.3 with Central Sequential Fuel Injection (CSFI) out of a 2000 Astro van. So I guess if the 4.0L MPI runs at 80 psi I could find a fuel pump for a new tj and retro fit it to my tank. Does that sound like more of a project than it needs to be and is 80psi too much for injectors...

    New to Jeeps

If you buy the Jeep with stock 30" tires it should be geared for those tires. Upon installing 31" tires, I would expect a speedometer difference of no more than 3-4 mph and I wouldn't expect any loss in power unless you have the 4 cyl. engine. Kudos on buying an '06 Jeep they look pretty cool...

Lift, tires, and rims too big?

Running 31" tires and no lift works fine for me, aside from rubbing fender flares on heavy bumps. I was able to use 5th gear behind the 4cyl. to maintain highway speeds unless I came to any type of incline. The transmission did not like it though and blew up on me last summer. So...gear your...

    Fuel pumps

50psi Fuel pump Does anyone know where I can find an inline fuel pump that produces somewhere around 50-60psi. Just replaced my 2.5L with a Chevy 4.3L which needs 50 psi for the multiport fuel injection. I have been hearing rumors of a pump booster that can increase psi when placed in series...

    NP231 transfer case

T-case has 154,000 miles on it. 2WD, Neutral, 4HI, and 4LO all work fine and shift smoothly. This unit works great and should be in relatively good condition internally since it hasn't had a lot of HP and torque through it, ran behind a 2.5L. I am doing an engine swap and am trying to get rid...

    Roof Rack

Build your own. It's the way to go if you have the tools, supplies, time, and ingenuity. Some of the most durable and useful offroad accessories I have seen have been built by the owner. In the end if you don't like it, you've lost a few bucks and time, but at least you had the experience.
