Any thoughts on a stainless tub? I know it sounds expensive but probably worth it if you are doing the swap in the first place. I think you can get aluminum tubs too but never seen them myself.

What do you mean by damage?:-| Most Jeep tops are made of a material called MXR. If your damage is a crack or chipped pieces, you can find MXR repair kits at a good hardware store.

I used a tool that fits into a drill, is made of a #2 eraser like material, and just rubs everything but the paint off the Jeep. Worked great for removing pin strips and decals. Unfortunately, it was given to me by a friend, so I have no idea what it is called or where you can get it.

Are you set on carpet? Truck bed liner works wonders in Jeep tubs and keeps floor boards from rusting in the future. Though, it all depends on what you plan on using the Jeep for.
