sudden loss of idle and power

time for new soft top, need advice I had the same problem a few years ago and it turned out to be a clogged fuel filter. Changed it and it ran fine. Don't know if this helps, but it's worth a look.

Jeep Telephone Survey coming to you soon!

Last night I had the opportunity to participate in a questionnaire field study at the Ohio State University. Even though they wouldn't come right out and say it, the field study was being done by OSU on behalf of Daimler-Chrysler. There was about 10 Wrangler owners and 1 Grand Cherokee owner...

    BODY LIFT MAYBE.???

YJ Hardtop, Full steel doors, and soft top stuff F/S The water is probably coming in through your intake, not your exhaust. Even though the air inlet is high up in the engine compartment, it can get water in it. When I used to go wheelin' in Houston, we had to go through alot of water...

how to.... go muddin (or wheelin... whatever you call it)

Check out the following website: www.webejeepin.com This guy covers all of the basics; recovery straps, getting unstuck, fjording water, etc. Plus some of the advanced topics; winches, driveshafts, axle and gear ratios. When I first got my Jeep, this was one of the first websites I went to...

    New Jeep Willys Edition

Has anyone else seen this new 2004 Jeep Wrangler Willys Edition? From what I can tell from the picture, it looks like it's going to have the same style wheels that the older military Jeeps had. It's marketed towards older military people who want to relive the glory days I guess. But I'm not...

    Video of a Jeep rollover.

Man, what a wild ride. I just wish my Jeep had the capabilities to get up half of that hill. You'd think he'd just flip over once very slowly, but he just keeps on tumbling.

Jeep(R) Creates the New Jeep 'Trail Rated'(TM) Requirements

Horn cover 91 Personally, I think Jeep should mail me a Trail Rated sticker. I've done extensive testing and experimentation and believe it passes the test and I have the pics to prove it!

    Help with Hi-Lift jack

I appreciate all of your comments. However, I still have a question about a lifting point on the side of the Jeep. Is there a good lifting point on the side that won't bend? I'm already carrying around a ton of crap in the Jeep as it is and don't know if I have room to carry a set of chocks...

    Help with Hi-Lift jack

I just bought a cast and stamped steel Hi-Lift jack yesterday and mounted it on the back bumper of my TJ. Just to try things out, I started jacking up the rear end left side, using the bumper as the lifting point. Since I did not have the front wheels chocked, the Jeep started rolling forward...

Isnt jeep concern but i want to get my opinion out!

Where do kids these days get the money to do all this stuff to their ricers anyway? I've had to struggle for every dollar, working since I was 16 and still can't afford everything I would like for my Jeep. Yet, I see 16 and 17 year old kids that have a tricked out $30,000 Acura with $15,000...

    Jeep Owners Group

I think JOGS is a good idea. However, the trail riding would have to be replaced with street driving. HOGS promote things such as Toys for Tots, poker runs, etc. Maybe JOGS could do something like that that raises money for charities and is more of a show than a ride. I know it seems silly...

Take a look at some Future Jeeps

Their kidding right? First of all, did anyone notice that they were putting 33x12.50s on a 4 cylinder? I know people do this, but I have 32s with an I-6 and I still feel like I need more power. Plus, how are they going to fit those size tires under there without lifting the Jeep? Second of...

Please Pray for JHiggins' family & friends

TJ check engine light I just posted another question on the technical forum before checking out the general forum. I expected the first person to reply to the question to be jhiggins. He was always the first to answer a question, and if he didn't know the answer, he tried to find out. He...

    TJ check engine light

1989 cherokee steering wheel play Last Tuesday, my check engine light came on for the first time. The mileasge was around 11,660. The Jeep was running fine and I couldn't tell a difference in driving or engine misses, etc. I called the Jeep service department on Wednesday and set up an...

    Tire Width vs. Wheel Width

I'm running 32x11.50s on a 15x7 rim although it does rub on tight turns. Personally, I believe that I should be using an 8 in. rim, but I just can't afford them right now. So, stock it is. But as soon as I can afford it (after the wedding), I'll go out and get some 8 in. rims. I'm not having...
