Here is what is sounds like. The squeal is not coming from the engine, it's coming from the inside Heater, so it maybe the heater motor. I'm going to check both out thanks

Bought a mean green alternator. Problem solved :)

92 Jeep yj 4.0 runs fine for days and then it Loses power for a minute or two while driving and then revs back up. I stay on the gas it acts like it wants to stall then it takes off. Any idea what it's doing?

It's a 6 cyl. The belt is grooved.

Just got a mean green alternator :) going to install it this weekend. Replacing the stock one. It puts out 120. Should hook up real easy without any mods.

Thanks. I am going to get it replaced. Any recommendations on what to look when shopping for a new alternator? I've seen a lot of different ones on different sites.

Running into an engine issue. After driving for awhile, i hear a humming/ whining sound..it think it's coming from the Alternator. Attached is the video...has anyone had this issue or know what it is?
