universal fuel sending unit in a stock tank?

It is a International Harvester, Scout 800, made between 1965-1968. Really cool machine, will climb a telephone pole, or my old one would.... I was built with Delco electrical, Ford drive train, Chrysler, or Dodge motor, usually with over sized heads to give more power. Mine had the Chrysler...

    Help With PO Wiring Decisions

I think the idle speed up relay is mainly used for air conditioning. It kicks on when the compressor is running. If you still use AC you may want it. Else yank it out.... Good luck.

Blue Ridge Park Way Vintage Jeep Ride/Fall 2014

Any more information about the Blue Ridge Jeep event? I need to find out the start location, and each overnight stop. We need to make motel reservations, hopefully close to the campground. Well I booked a room at Quality Inn, Waynesboro for the 18th. Guess I play the rest by the seat of my pants...

Looking at the map, you are probably about an hour drive from here. You should check out the Blue Ridge Parkway. It runs through here. I'm sure we have lots of good places around me. I can't do anything rough anymore "too many bad vertebras in my neck". Also old as dirt. ha....I am going to try...

    Need A Part

I may have found one in Indiana. I am determined to keep my original engine complete. So the engine we are building must have all its own parts. The good thing is, this is the last part I need. I'll be able to send it out for balancing. If I don't get the one in Indiana, I'll check the...

    my jeep

Yep, Something is keeping it from putting fuel to the injector. Could be computer, or something the computer wants to see before opening the fuel supply.

    Reverse light options and suggestions

Ah, you have a good point. I know they make LEDs that do. You may need brighter for backup.. Check these out. They are $30.00 each http://www.superbrightleds.com/cat/reverse-lamps/

    Reverse light options and suggestions

You probably have one black, which is ground, or negative. The other two are, low brightness for tail lights, and high brightness for brake/turn. Connect the black wire to the ground of the jeep. Take your pick of the others. Which ever runs the brightest is the one to use. Try one at a time. I...

Hi, Does it crank, do you have fire to the plugs? carb, or fuel injection? Sorry, but I got to narrow the list down. Tison

    Reverse light options and suggestions

Is the LED you are using a dual function? parking/brake replacement. If so it is kind of an overkill. The wire will be the plus, and ground for minus. If you have a dual brightness LED, hook the 2 plus leads to the plus wire, and ground the third wire.

What did you do to your Jeep today?

I spent the last 4 days working in my friends '95 wrangler. It came down with a bad case of the "death wobble". Unfortunately, he has no money, so, it came from my pocket. 2 new wheel u-joints, boy they were shot. 4 new ball joints, had a good 1/4" play. 2 stabilizer rods. It still will shake...

I still carry my 1/2, and 9/16 wrenches with me. I believe I could fix anything on mine with them... At least you didn't have a handful of bolts left over.ha

Installed new solenoid and ..... hmmm

Have you measured the resistance of the "I" to the case? I guess it would be nice if I could find a drawing of the relay insides... The "I" must be common inside to something inside. Here is some fairly good information. http://www.prestolite.com/pgs_training/training_4.php
