    Clutch problems

Should be able to use just a stock replacement one, might want to check the line and replace if needed. And make sure you bleed it good. -James

    Clutch problems

Sounds like a master prob, the piston prob isn't building enough pressure to move the slave through its full stroke. -James

    Help!

Transmissions are easy to come by, I think its odd that reverse is gone. If its got a diff rear its most likely an 8.8. Careful of the frame, yj's like to rot out around the rear shackles and the skid plate. The front shaft is prob worn out (common on lifted yj's around here) or he was saving...

    Snorkel

My air box is 40"(+-1") above ground, and I have a stock air box.... never saw the use for a snorkle, as I don't ever think I've been deeper than my rockers. I'm not a fan of wet feet, or mud on most days. -James

    YJ Lift

I'm using Skyjacker softride springs, everyone says they ride stiff, but their softer than stock. And they hold up great, I've had these for 9yrs and 40k miles, almost no sag at all. -James

Performance Accessories makes a good body lift. I've owned 3 trucks over the yrs that had their pucks in them, all were 10 + yrs old and were holding up great, never had an issue would deff use again if the need arose. -James

And no the body won't come off the frame from a body lift, unless its a rusted pile of crap that shouldn't be on the road anyway..... -James

    newbie needs help

A body lift uses grade 5 bolts, it allows the bolts to bend, a grade 8 or higher would snap. You really can't tell the diff between a 2" and a 3" unless you have the 2 side by side.... I am not a big fan of body lifts, but they do the trick, and they are fairly cheap. You can do this now and...

    newbie needs help

BTW if you do put a body lift on, you might as well go 3", its not any more work to do it. Just buy the right kit for a yj and follow the directions. If your mildly mechanically inclined you can do this in your driveway in a day.... -James

As long as you run a wheel with 3.5" of back spacing you can run a 33 with a 2" lift but the tires will rub on the fenders when off road. -James

    Looking for 4.10

True, but I would expand my search so I wouldnt have to swap all the brackets over, or spend the $ on it. -James

    Looking for 4.10

Yes it would work, but the Yj axle has a 2 piece pass axle shaft, and a 2 piece axle tube, and you would have to put all the brackets for coils and control arms on it. Not really worth it in my opinion. I would just keep looking for the XJ axle. It's so worth waiting and getting the right one...
