Why drop the skid? i know it is tight but you dont need to drop the skid to work on exhaust

I have a 2.5" skyjacker lift very similar to this kit.seems to be durable i beat on it all the time no issues.i do find the coils a little stiff for road use,if this is a DD i would look for a kit with progressive rate coils

would like to swap my 3 sp auto with aw4 in my 97 tj have seen info on other sites about this swap when the tj had a 5 sp but the kicker is the wiring harness on the aw4 ,i have looked at 4 different service manuals 2 of them factory manuals the colours dont match my harness not even close.could...

you might be ok by getting cam bolts to adjust pinion angle try that first to see .if you still get vibes you may have to drop transfer case

my guess would be worn or dry u joints if the shift motor isnt working the front driveshaft should not be turning ,if you had a tj i would say to also check cv joint on front driveshaft because they turn all the time on a tj

havent even looked for it on my 97 tj i assume that it does have one odometer is at 210000

loose or worn control arm bushings worn ball joints worn track bar bushings are usual causes are bushings in good shape? tightened to factory specs?this was the cause on mine didnt have control arms tight enough

I see you have a Tj whatever you choose for tools make sure you have a complete set of torx sockets unbelievable how many of these are on a tj.every time i take one out i replace it with a bolt that has a normal head.i think they came up with these just to frustrate people

that is a good point that would definetly help with on road handling as well because there would not be any sudden unlocking when you lift off throttle one drawback to running a welded or locked diff is faster tire wear on the street

you are probably sinking your alternator under water they seem to be mounted low on the engine or at least on my tj if the water hits the headlights my alternator is under water i have same issues so i try not to go in deep water
